Living with dementia can bring uncertainty for both the person and those who care about them. Our companions and caregivers have experience and training in dementia care, providing calm, consistent support that helps each day feel more familiar, reassuring and connected.
No two people experience dementia in the same way. We tailor support to each person, drawing on their routines, past interests and what matters most to them, while adapting as their needs change.
We encourage activities that reflect each person's interests, past experiences and daily routines, bringing comfort, purpose and moments of joy.
We're here for families too - keeping you informed, providing reassurance and adapting support as your loved one's needs change.
June's companion arrives in the morning and they begin the day with a cup of coffee together. There's no rush. A friendly face, gentle conversation and time to settle into the day. When the weather is nice, they head out for a walk around the neighbourhood, chatting about the flowers in bloom, birds in the trees and familiar sights along the way.
Back at home, they enjoy working on a puzzle together before preparing lunch. Today it's homemade pumpkin soup, with June helping to peel the vegetables and stir the pot where she can. Staying involved in familiar activities helps maintain confidence and gives a sense of purpose.
After lunch, June's companion tidies the kitchen and leaves everything ready for a relaxing afternoon.
Every visit is different, but they're all built around familiar routines, meaningful moments and compassionate support that helps people living with dementia feel safe, reassured and connected.
